WHAT.

The depth of this one word is unimaginable. I, for one, have always wondered ‘what’ stops people from asking this question more often. ‘What’, over time has paved way for some of the most fantastic conversations; of not that, it has at least proven to be the best form of ice-breaker in a colloquial exchange.

Underrated.

“What is your name?” There you go. A sure shot conversation starter. We don’t realize the worth of this simple phrase, but believe me, the gravity of it pushes you off the ground. Pun intended.

“What are the chances of India winning the match today?” Another fantastic question that makes way for a discussion, which would unfortunately lead to a dirty squabble sometimes, but if you manage to tame your horse, you can actually learn a thing or two.

“What are you up to?” More like a reality checker. Every time you get asked this question, you wonder why the other person exists in the first place. If you are someone like me who has a lot of time in hand, chances are you might snap when you are hit with this.

Surprisingly, “what?” is former WWE superstar ‘Stone cold’ Steve Austin’s catchphrase, while he was an active wrestler. Yes, he would serenade the crowd with nothing but “what”. Beat that.

“What’s coming for exams?” I don’t know, but sure as nature, an annoying machine, wouldn’t you say? I flunked my exams sometimes, well, mostly, just because someone would throw this at me.

You get the hang of it, don’t you? “What” is the staple. It is ‘what’ that has paved way for inventions and discoveries, and through this article, I’m celebrating this little word.

Let me know your favorite questions prefixed by ‘what’.
